Bedroom - Bathroom Wall

Though there are only 4 photos here, I spent a lot of time working on this wall. It contained a couple of sockets which needed decomissioning and new ones in the bedroom were cut and cables threaded for them. It was strenthened with addtional noggings below the studs as they had just been nailed directly to the floorboards and then using some reclaimed flooring chipboard from the loft - the wall was lined to provide additonal sound deadening in addition to the rockwool and plasterboard.

Wall studs

Here you can see the inside of the plaster and laths of the ajoining front bedroom wall. It is pretty loose and will be replaced in furture.

Radiator pipes

These pipes are concealed within the wall. Although the flow and return pipes will feed up from below the floorboards, these pipes allow one radiator to be stacked above the other.

Wall insulation

The pipes are all lagged and the wall void has been filled with rockwool insulation mostly for sound deadening.

Shower valve

Installed within wall. There is access to the pipes and isolation valves from a panel in the bedroom.
