New shut off valve

The yellow valve is a full bore 15 mm quater turn valve. Easy and quick to turn - much nicer to use than the regulation stopcock.

Refurbed window

Stripped, reglazed and repainted. It also now has brush strip to reduce draughts and make it work more smoothly.

New Cistern

Also note extractor fan just to the left of the cistern.

First part of the boxing-in. hiding the cistern and reducing the sound level of the fan.

Pan connector

From the front...The backboard provides some support and ensures the connection stays on the 'tailpipe' of the pan.

Pan connected

The cister was cheap but provides internal overflow, dual flush, and quiet fill.

Top backboard

If you look closely, you'll see a long slot just above the pan rim. This is intended to draw smells more directly from the source rather than across the room.
