Laid the day before.

First slabs
Reclaimed again, this time from a previous neighbour who no longer wanted them.

End of first full day
Block pavings are laid on 'sticky' wet and strong cement while slabs are laid on dry mix.

Using the notched spreader
The dry mix was levelled with this and the slabs carefully lowered onto it.

I had run out of clean pavias at this point so tidied up for a bit.

Well, except for the infill for the gaps between the block pavings and the slabs.
